The 23.8-metre Sunreef Yachts power eco catamaran SÓL displays a luxurious interior aesthetic. Launched in May of this year, the Sunreef 80 Power Eco yacht made her US debut at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023.

Showcasing a custom in-house design layout, the Sunreef yacht can accommodate up to eight guests across her four sumptuous staterooms. Named after the Norse sun goddess, SÓL sports Sunreef Yachts’ solar power system and electric propulsion. An ultra slim “solar skin” is incorporated into the yacht’s hull design, displaying 200 square-metres of solar panels. SuperYacht Times takes a closer look at SÓL’s elegant interiors and energy saving amenities.

Entering the main saloon, a chic neutral-toned interior defines the space. Warm overhead strip lighting illuminates the stylish saloon, featuring large fitted sofas, white lacquered coffee tables and a wet bar area for guests to enjoy. Comfortable cream armchairs are situated opposite the fitted sofa and extensive windows wrap around the catamaran’s saloon, ensuring the yacht remains bathed in sunlight throughout the day. In addition, the main saloon opens out onto the aft cockpit, featuring a large alfresco dining area for guests to enjoy, complete with seating for up to eight guests, which is well protected from sunlight and wind.

SÓL’s staterooms portray a clean, minimalistic aesthetic, reminiscent of the catamaran’s saloon. Beige and cream toned furniture blend together with plush furnishings and light wooden cabinets to enhance the calming atmosphere onboard. Natural light floods the staterooms, amplifying the yacht’s bright interior design. With a focus on eco-responsible yachting, the Sunreef yacht also boasts an energy-saving air conditioning system.

Guests can embrace their unobstructed sea-views from SÓL’s bow terrace, or indulge in the yacht’s spa pool. The catamaran’s cockpit provides guests with seamless access to the aft platform, Jet Skis and water toys. The Sunreef yacht’s flybridge deck also provides guests with alfresco dining, an opulent bar and oversized sunpads.

SÓL features a 990kWh battery system and has the largest battery bank in the category of leisure crafts up to 24-metres which powers all the amenities onboard and the twin engines. In addition, SÓL’s batteries allow for up to 300 nautical miles of e-motoring in complete silence.

Reflecting on the catamaran’s design process the owners stated, “While we have never designed and built a yacht, we have brought our style and ideas from our home and hospitality projects and enjoyed learning and shaping our future marine home. We look forward to joining the ship in the Bahamas and the Caribbean in the winter when the boat is off charter.”
